Charming, comfortable, and very clean hotel

The Grand Hotel is a beautiful property in Kalispell. The decor and vintage building makes your heart smile and want to stay awhile to take it all in. The hotel is very clean including the room we stayed in. The hotel smells fresh without the use of scented air fresheners. I didn't get any allergies from the hotel. The building is over 100 years old which is so fun! The stairs have a couple of charming creaks which are honestly fun to hear. (You can't hear the creaks from your room.) The room is very clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The water pressure and water temperatures are great. We stayed in a two bed bedroom on the northwest corner of the building. Early Monday morning the trash collector emptied the outdoor trash bins. It's noisy, but I could fall back to sleep. If you're a light sleeper, I'd double-check with the hotel to find out what days the trash bins are emptied so your sleep isn't disturbed, if you're room is located on the northwest side of the hotel. The service was fantastic, and the homemade cookies and popcorn provided for an evening treat were fun. The continental breakfast is yummy. There was GF quiche, homemade muffins, toast, assortment of cereals, fresh milk, fresh juice, ice water, yogurt, and sweet bread.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff was excellent! The breakfast was ok stayed 5 days same thing every day pretty much like the pictures in the Expedia app.. Loved the cookies and popcorn every night. Got the family suite. Plenty of beds (3) for four adults. Wasn't crazy about the slow draining sink or the shower. But overall loved the stay would come back again. P.S. There was a lot of loud vehicles cruising the main Street next to the hotel mostly on Friday night it usually died down by 10:30 or 11:00.

Cool Old Hotel

It's over 100 years old but, aside from a very slow elevator (take the stairs), it's very nice. The bed was comfortable, our room had an interesting layout...sort of L-shaped, so our adult son had some privacy. The breakfast was atypical but very good (little dishes of quiche, baked oats with berries, etc.), the eating room was like a museum of Western/Native American art pieces. There was no microwave in the room but you could use the one in the breakfast area, and no fridge in the room either.

Hotel is exceptionally clean and service was outstanding. Parking was easy with a parking lot located right behind the hotel. Breakfast was simple but they had some yummy quiche and an oatmeal bake, along w/ breads and jams. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
