First off the host was great BUT… the place was not clean though he stated his wife spent five hours cleaning it. The counters were sticky and the freezer had so much frost in it that it wasn’t really cold. They had a personal freezer in it as well. The biggest issue was that his wife had locked the second bedroom and they couldn’t find the key. SEVEN AND A HALF HOURS after check-in he was trying to break into it. We had travelled 12 hours to get there and we want to go to bed. The other red flag is there is NOT a lock on the apartment door but upstairs heading into the house. The laundry room is right outside the apartment door and the host can then go into your rental whenever he chooses to.
