Please Read Before Booking
This is a family-friendly, luxury accommodation requiring respectful behavior. All group members, except for accompanying family, must be at least 30 years old. There is no smoking. Quiet hours between 10pm and 8am are enforced. Behavior negatively impacting the neighborhood will result in fines and/or eviction.

Description
A mountain retreat so quiet and private you wouldn’t know you’re that close to the village. Perched on the side of Whistler Mountain, this 3-level townhome is at the end of the complex and has lots of light. It’s also where the stairs to ski access begin. See “ski access” for the fine print.
Large picture windows from the living room frame a mountain view. Sink into the comfortable sofas in front of the fire after a day on the mountain or emerge yourself in the hot tub on the deck where the snow-covered jagged mountainside makes for a beautiful backdrop.

Location
The Northern Lights complex is on Whistler Way, just above the Westin Resort and Spa hotel and to the right of Telemark complex. It is a 10-minute walk to Whistler Village down the road within the Northern Lights complex and the walk back to Northern Lights from Whistler Village  is a 15-minute walk uphill on the same road that has an incline upwards and does not have a sidewalk.  The address is 4150 Tantalus Drive and there is a location map included in the photos section of this listing.

Ski Access
From Northern Lights there are two options to access the slopes. The first option is the stair system just outside your door. But, be warned, it is a total of 110 stairs (we counted). From the top of the stairs, you ski down Lower Olympic, an easy green run, to the base of Whistler Mountain with lift access to both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. At the end of the day, take Lower Olympic to a short trail with the pitch of a blue run that takes you to the top of the stair system. If you are a novice skier, have young children or are not in Olympic shape, we advise the second option.
The second option is to drive or take a taxi. It is a 2-minute drive to the Westin Resort and Spa where you can pay to park in the underground, take the east elevator, walk 40 steps and you’ll be at the Whistler Gondola.

In addition to the two-car garage (6’8” clearance), there is driveway parking for one vehicle and two passes are provided for guest parking.
Garage has a ski rack and ceiling bike hooks.

Misleading “walk to town”… they did not mention the walk is on a steep winding hill with no sidewalk.House was very private and spotlessly CLEAN! The maids deserve a raise.We could not fit our large car even in the driveway. Also we were required to walk the garbage to an unknown location with a code- not a great surprise.

Perfect week at Whistler

The location of NL21 was excellent for our family for the week. We had ski lift passes for 4 days and the ability to ski in and walk out was perfect. It was a little of a walk up the hill, but the convenience of skiing right to the home was awesome. The hot tub was used every night after skiing. Perfect accommodations for our family. Great stay!

The set up was perfect for a group of gals looking for a whistler weekend getaway. Everything was as expected and surprisingly plenty of room and parking for a place in Whistler. The trek down to the village is a bit of a walk, especially if you had little ones, but honeslty, totally doable for us. Would definitely book again.

Perfect group getaway

We had a really lovely stay at this property - a group of women celebrating a 40th birthday. The home is just as pictured, clean & modern while also giving the ski-chic vibes. Loved that the hot tub overlooked the forest, felt private and like we were in nature. Comfortable sleeping arrangements for a group. The only down side is the steep uphill climb from the Village. It's a reasonable walk down (though could get icy), but we chose to take taxis/Whistle to get back home. Check-in/check-out were smooth, appreciated that the home was ready for us earlier than expected. The plentiful parking was also very convenient for our group! Overall we had a fantastic stay.

Beautiful property

We loved staying at this property, it was extremely clean and well stocked. Our only complaints were that the ‘4th bedroom’ (where the pull out coach was located) didn’t have any curtains or blinds on the doors and it was not a great sleeping situation, also, while this location is ‘walkable’ for some to the village, it is not easily walkable for everyone. There are no side walks on the walk down the road to the village and it is a pretty steep climb, it’s fine in running shoes, but not if you are hoping to wear cute sandals to dinner, like we were. Overall, we had an excellent stay, I had different expectations of what walkable would mean.

Great mountain chalet

The property was very nice and had everything we needed. Super easy access to the village and parking was not a problem. We fit two cars in the garage... Of note, the walk to the slopes is super convenient, but not the easiest. We had a few people opt to store their skis in whistler village, but this was also super easy since driving them down the mountain to drop them off took only 3 minutes! We had six total people, 4 adults and two kids... But could have slept another 1-2 kids without an issue.
