The view from the lodge is spectacular!! The restaurant’s menu has no bad choices!! It is a great spot to unplug and unwind.

The location and views are outstanding! The rooms have a separate seating area and an outdoor patio facing the bay. The restaurant was fabulous and they are well informed about celiac disease and food allergies.

Island sunsets

This was my second stay here, 16 years apart. The lodge is up above the town, easy to get to from the ferry if you're driving (or in my case bicycling). Room was basic, but clean and it was very nice to be able to open the second door leading directly outside for catching the breeze. Onsite restaurant was tasty and even without reservations, the hostess was able to seat me. Hoping it won't be another 16 years before my next visit.

Decent rooms, convenient location, very nice staff. Not all rooms have TVs, some have A/C others have fans provided. Have stayed twice and both times haven’t been dissatisfied. Only thing I’d warn you about is the breakfast at the on site restaurant is not great and it’s a bit expensive for what it is. It’s the only breakfast option on the island so be prepared.

All staff were very helpful, on checking in we got to our room and it wasn't what we expected, turns out we only booked for the basic room with no lock for the bathroom. We paid extra for the upgraded room in one of these new refurbished building and it is so worth the money.

No phone, no tv, shower with either cold or scalding water-had to keep turning it off and on. Had to run tub for kids so they wouldn’t burn themselves in shower. Beds only passable-lumpy. Common rooms good and restaurant was ok. Shortage of staff it seemed.

Needed a place to crash for a music festival. This fit the bill. Log panelling but no tv. Why would you want to watch tv when whales are frequently seen in the channel offshore? The lodge is positioned up on a hill overlooking the channel and the bays of Fundy and St Mary’s beyond. The restaurant has great food. Be aware that Briar Island has fog more often than not.
