HOUSE GUIDE
Check in & Access:
Check in is 3:00PM
Check out is 11:00AM
When entering through the front door, please hold the storm door so that the wind doesn’t blow it completely open. Make sure to close this door completely as well.
WiFi:
Network:
Password:
TV:
One Roku tv is located in the living room. You can connect to all your favorite apps but there is no cable.
Garbage:
Please place garbage in the green garbage can located outside in the rear of the house.
Patio:
Please turn off the propane & after the bbq has cooled off cover the bbq.
A/C:
A window unit a/c is located in each bedroom and there is one in the patio room. We recommend pulling the curtains closed during the day in the patio room and living room to keep these rooms cooler. Please set the a/c temperature a few degrees higher when you leave the cottage to conserve energy. Please turn off all A/Cs off at check out.
Landscapers:
Carlos, our landscaper, comes Thursday or Friday afternoon and usually stays 30 minutes. Please close the windows if you leave the house so the dust from mowing/blowing does not get in the house.
PLACES TO EAT ON MAIN STREET or JUST OFF: we recommend you make reservation at the restaurants with an asterisk. You can walk to the first 11 places listed below.

THINGS TO DO:
1. Farmers Market at the Village Gazebo on Main Street Saturday mornings 8AM-1PM, May-October
2. Concerts at the Village Gazebo (end of Main Street), Wednesday nights or checkout the schedule for shows, concerts and comedians at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center located on Main Street.
3. Car and art shows on the Village Green (select weekends)
4. Explore Dune Rd on foot or bike, 13.9 miles of flat road nestled between Moriches Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. There are no sidewalks but it is untrafficked enough to be fine for running/biking.
5. Spend a day at Rogers Beach, a private Village Beach, accessible only to pass holders between 9-5. There are lifeguards 9-5, bathroom and showers as well as a concession. We will leave our beach pass for you! You are not permitted to park in the beach lot since you will not have a village beach parking permit but you can park in the public parking spots located just over the bridge on Beach Lane. Walk across the bridge and show your walk on pass to the attendant to enter the beach.
6. Rent kayaks or paddle boards in season at Stephen’s Marina on Library Avenue, WHB.
7. Yoga on the Board Sunday mornings at 94 Dune Rd, Quogue through Adventure Paddleboards.
8. Play tennis or enjoy the track at Westhampton Beach High School on Mill Rd. There is a great playground at the WHB Elementary School and also one in town on Mill Rd.
9. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets at Rogers Beach or in the estate section of WHB at the end of Oneck Rd. Oneck Rd dead ends at the bay, facing Dune Rd.
10. Take a 30-35 minute ride to the Village of Southampton. Take 27East or Montauk Highway East, for the more scenic ride, catching views of the bay. Drive through historic Quogue and Hampton Bays. Stop to eat at RUMBA (Inspired Island Cuisine and Rum Bar), along the way or farm stands. Enjoy more of the boutique shopping the Hamptons has to offer, in Southampton. People watch and have lunch or dinner at 75 Main Restaurant & Lounge or Southampton Publick House. Scenes from the Bravo show Summerhouse we filmed at these hot spots.
11. Wineries are a 30-40 minute ride northeast. There are so many to choose from and many have live music, food trucks and beautiful views of the vineyards (hayrides in the fall). A few of my favorite vineyards are Macari, Wolffer, Pindar and Raphel. You will end up in the historic town of Greenport if you continue East after checking out the north folk wineries. Claudio’s Restaurant on the water is great featuring live music, casual dining, yachts at the marina and a view of Shelter Island. A ferry can take you from Greenport to Shelter Island.
12. You will pass through Bridgehampton and East Hampton as you continue east of Southampton along the south folk. The cottage is approximately a 2 hour drive from Montauk (THE END). Be prepared for traffic in season as the road east becomes a single lane and the speed limit drops. Do not speed since the police are always looking for people driving above the speed limit.
We hope this guide has given you lots of ideas of places to go and things to see while you visit charming Westhampton Beach and the cottage on Potunk Lane.
