This place is newly remodeled and very comfortable. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and air conditioning. We were visiting family nearby so we did not go to Oakland Beach but it is a short walk away. The bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs and the stairs are steep, as they are in most older New England homes. It's something to consider for those with mobility concerns or small children, although there is a baby gate available. The neighborhood felt safe and family oriented, even walking to the beach in the evening after dinner was fine. With the proximity to our relative's place and safe neighborhood, we would definitely stay here again.
