Thistledown Farm's Sheep Shed Cottage

Thistledown Farm's Sheep Shed Cottage was created by joining a potting shed and a sheep shed. It features post and beam construction. Located on the beautiful Thistledown Farm property, it is furnished with unique antiques and old barn finds. The sleeping loft is accessible only by a ship's ladder. Adults and kids alike LOVE it. It is a great place to kick back! The accommodations are rustic-more like a summer camp than a dolled-up seaside cottage. This is a seasonal rental, and bookings are only available from mid-May to mid-October.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cottage, which features a fireplace. There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.

Thistledown Farm’s Sheep Shed Cottage is a gift. The grounds, location, living quarters and best of all Penny, our host, were amazing. If you are looking for that taste of Maine it’s all right here. Around ever corner, down any street you will find a piece of Maine in its true habitat. So much to explore and so much to love. If you have the time, make sure to spend some with Penny, her stories are plentiful and extremely intriguing.Thank you, We look forward to our next visit.Lorna

We had a wonderful stay in the Sheep Shed Cottage. It was rustic, quirky, and fun (a step above glamping). The Thistledown Farm offers multiple onsite outdoor activities and many other activities are close by. The furthest we drove for any activity was 45 minutes, and it was great to return from the hustle and bustle of the costal communities to a quiet evening by the fire pit. Penny is a wonderful host and we loved every opportunity we had to chat with her. Sheep Shed Cottage is the most rustic of her VRBO offerings, but she graciously showed us her other spaces and they are beautiful. A stay at Thistledown Farm is worth your while.
