Our stay at the Days Inn in Waco was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. From the moment we arrived, the neighborhood surrounding the property felt very shady and unsafe. The front desk provided confusing directions on how to find our room, and we had to drive around the property multiple times before locating the correct entryway. Our room was upstairs, and there is no elevator, so we had to carry all of our luggage up two flights of stairs. Access to the upstairs rooms is through a keycard entry, but there is little to no clear guidance on how room numbers correspond to where the upstairs rooms are located. On the way upstairs, we noticed large gashes/openings in the ceiling, making the building look old and poorly maintained. The hallways smelled strongly of marijuana in the evening, and by the next morning they reeked of cigarettes. Inside the room, it initially appeared relatively clean, but we quickly noticed stains on the pillows and bed sheets. We also found a roach on the bathroom sink, which was extremely unsettling. After showering, we realized the carpet in the room was sticky when walking on it barefoot, raising serious concerns about cleanliness. The air conditioner was confusing to operate, and the room was freezing upon arrival. It took us 10–15 minutes to figure out how to get the heat working. The coffee provided in the room was very poor quality, and the bathroom only included the most basic toiletries. Breakfast was also a major disappointment.

There was dead bugs squished and left on the ceiling. Roaches in the night stand. The carpet was sticky and dirty to the point you culd feel it as you walked on it. It stunk of mold. There was mold in the bathroom. Crackheads and prostitutes everywhere.

So the lobby was clean, the breakfast options were great, and the room appeared and smelled clean with exception to the bathroom floor which was sticky and had shoe prints, maybe too much soap when mopped? My main issue was the bugs, there were so many little roach looking bugs in the room. They hid when the lights were on but upon arriving back to the room after being gone or upon turning the light on in the morning, there would be little roach looking bugs on the walls, furniture, and even the bed... not how you want to wake up. I was staying for work and when I got to work I found two of the little roach looking bugs hitched a ride in my work bag. I really like the motel and wanted to use it as my regular motel during the week when I'm in Waco for work but the bugs were ridiculous and what I would consider on level with an infestation, at least in the room I was in, because the room appeared clean but they were still there.
