Excellent staff, always thoughtful and helpful. The location is perfect, in a lovely, walkable part of town very close to the harbour. The hotel is in a 100-year-old building, with all the associated creaks and bumps that appear in a building from Victoria’s early days. Enjoy the heritage atmosphere!

Everything about this stay was amazing! Staff were beyond wonderful, so nice and helpful, from check in to check out! They did have a pipe burst and a super loud truck came to fix it but what can you do! Christmas decorations were the best part! Will definitely be back

I have stayed here multiple times and I’ve never had any issues. Staff is very friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is located very close to the downtown core and the Beacon Hill Park, which makes it a very desirable location. I would highly recommend this location and stay here whenever I go to Victoria.

I really like the fact that this place was completely unapologetic about being a throwback to an earlier time, keeping its historical feel without being kitschy. All the things that were important were done well without trying equal or outdo most modern hotels that feel they were made with a cookie-cutter. It also has a great little (and very busy!) restaurant downstairs and a small bar. It is clearly appreciated by its traveling clientele but also appears to be a local favorite, and all the employees seemed like a family, appreciating their good fortune to work at a place with such good vibes and character.
