The hotel is aptly named, everything about it feels Grand. The staff, amenities and rooms were all excellent. The pool, steam room and gym are in great condition and family friendly, while keeping two lanes open for laps. The only critique I can point out is that our room had a faint smoke smell from a bygone era.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at the Grand Pacific was truly underwhelming. We had booked a specific room in advance, but when we arrived, it was unclean, outdated, and poorly maintained. The furniture looked worn out, the carpet had stains, and the overall condition of the room felt neglected. We were told the only option was to pay an extra $60 to upgrade, which we reluctantly did. The upgraded room was only slightly better — still old and far from what you'd expect at this price point. To make things worse, when we asked for drinking water, the staff told us to use the tap in the washroom, as that was the only source available. That response was not only unprofessional but also unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed standard. The staff seemed indifferent to our concerns and made no effort to make the stay more comfortable. There was no sense of hospitality or care. Overall, the experience felt like a waste of money and left a bad impression. I would not recommend staying here — there are far better options nearby that actually value their guests.
