My wife and I stayed here after a previous trip here about 7 years ago. A lot has changed. There is no restaurant, the window that looked toward the pier was filthy, there were ants in our room and a nasty odor coming from the drains. The ceiling was black by the heating vent, breakfast was ok but not great. Location is fantastic and we still enjoyed our time there but sad to see the property not being maintained to the previous standard. Mentioned my concerns to the woman at check out and she said she’d return our deposit in 7 days and pass my comments along. She didn’t make any notes and went onto the next guest. Felt like she was offended more than concerned. This is a beautiful, historic property in a great location. I wish they had the money and management to resurrect it instead of just going through the motions.

An historic property, under renovation, and overlooking the ocean and the highway. Beautiful gardens and walking distance to beach and historic downtown. It was also only 20 minute walk from Amtrak station. Although the highway is loud outside, you can’t hear it within the rooms. Nice staff and good breakfast.

We had to move rooms because the first room number 106 had spots all over the carpet and smelled horribly of urine. We were moved after I complained to room 109. Room was better, but still had an odor. At 6:30 in the morning the fire alarm went off walking all residents. False alarm. There were water leaks in the hall way.

Property is in decent location to the pier and beach. Room was average. Refrigerator was over frozen and dirty. Climate control did not work but was not needed with nice weather. Breakfast was unacceptable. Cold eggs and stale potatoes. Coffee adequate. For the king suite, it was an overall disappointment, but staff was excellent and courteous and an asset.

The view from the hotel was nice and the location was good as well. Really awful hotel. 2 different groups that we were with stayed at the Pierpont Inn and they had bed bugs so we were all exposed to bed bugs. We saw something crawling on the floor in our room and on the ac unit and a manager came to inspect our room and said it’s not bed bugs. The cleanliness of the hotel is not it. The place is not worth the price of bed bugs.

Being built in the late 20’s, I was pleasantly surprised how well maintained the property was. Odd thing was there was no traditional entrance as most hotels have, but a sign as one enters pointing towards the back of the property. Turns out the “check in” is one of the hotel rooms midway into the building. Rooms were really nice, 20’s vibe with modern amenities. Beds were very comfortable. While we were there the restaurant was under renovation so I can’t comment on that. Only had hotel room coffee which leaves much to be desired.
