The staff was welcoming and checkin was fast and easy. We loved our room on the 2nd floor on the beach side of the hotel. Our window opened and we had a small ocean/pier view with fresh air. The bed was comfortable. We had a fridge but no microwave. It’s very convenient to walk to the pier, beaches and restaurants…also downtown Main Street for shopping, sightseeing at the San Buenaventura Mission and more. The morning hot breakfast was good as well.

The breakfast was varied and maintained well. The hotel room was very clean and well maintained. This is not a luxury hotel and it is not on the water. But it is close to everything in Ventura. My only complaint is that check in was at 4. We got there early and our room wasn't ready. We left and came back and still had to wait until just before 5 before our room was ready.
