The check in staff were pleasant, however that where the pleasantness's ended. There was mold in the empty ice bucket. The AC/Heater unit smelled of roach feces. The shower was filthy, no shampoo or conditioner. Legitimate concern of getting legionnaire disease. The door latch didn’t close all the way and we had to put a chair against the door for security. There was sand in the bed. The only place that smelled like it had been cleaned was the check in office. I’ve never had such a terrible experience at a motel. I wasn’t expecting luxury for the price point, but this was unacceptable.

Everything here is wet. It never dries. You have to walk through a lot of shady people smoking cigarettes and attempting to intimidate you in the hallways and staircases. There’s a massive police light right outside your door so you can never have darkness while you sleep. It feels like a place you could get robbed. There are literal homeless people living here. Very weird place. Nothing at all reflecting the advertisement

Proceed with caution. Rooms towards the back of the motel are a little rough. There is some sort of state assistance program for the unhoused community in the back two buildings. Overall room was secure, but the bathroom and hotel grounds were unclean.

Pros: a few blocks from the beach, close to the freeway. Cons: one of the buildings was converted to what i can only describe as a halfway house or rehabilitation center or extremely low invome housing. When we left in the morning there were vagrants working on their bikes and bike carts around and behind our car. It has gone downhill since the last time we stayed here.

Bad experience

Air conditioner in the room noisy, it sounded like there was an airplane over head. Could not sleep while it's running had to turn off. Also the refrigerator was crackling and had to be unplugged. The room also smelled offul. As for the parking it was okay.
