Luxury canal-side apartment in heart of Dorsoduro - Fully Inclusive Rates

Ca' Leonessa is a recently (2010) restored luxury apartment located in the heart of Venice. It is a short walk from the bus and railway stations. Due to its superb location all the sites of Venice are either within walking distance or a couple of stops on the vaporetto. In the furnishing of the apartment the prime consideration has been to create a comfortable and welcoming oasis for you after a busy days sight seeing in magical Venice.

The living room (which overlooks the canal and the Campo San Barnaba) features two Natuzzi sofa's (one double sofa bed) a Linn sound system and HD television with DVD/CD player.

Both bedrooms are bright and airy with comfortable beds and have plenty of hanging/storage space in the bespoke wardrobes. Bedroom 1 has a luxurious double bed with fine linens and traditional Venetian fabrics. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. Both bathrooms are fully tiled with power showers.

The kitchen has been hand built and features dining for 6.

Everything was wonderful. The host had a management team that was in contact with us throughout our stay and they were most helpful. The location of the property was incredible. A few hundred feet off the Grand Canal and just mere feet from Campo San Barnabas and Campo Santa Margherita. We were living among the locals as it were. We really felt as though we were returning home after sightseeing each day. We will gladly stay here again the next time we visit Venice.

Location was good. We could have used more bath towels since we were there for 4 days and the bathroom drying racks didn’t work. Need to bring your own soaps and it would have been nice to have some kind of a shelf in the shower for toiletries. Lots of paint chips on the floors.

Location was close to water taxi station and peaceful nights for sleeping. Area for improvement would be cleanliness- shower overflowed x2, contacted maintenance folks and reported they had repaired. Freezer is fullOf snow- not functional as not cleaned in long time. Fridge also dirty when arrived- food bits on fridge shelves. Note there are several stone steps to go up which are challenging if using cane and have heavy bags. Bianca helped us carry them! Washing machine worked but not the dryer. Bianca who checked us in left us with restaurant suggestions that were terrific. Service was excellent! Thank you Bianca!

We absolutely loved this darling place in a fantastic neighborhood. We were close to everything you need, vaporetto stations, restaurants, market, shopping, wine everything! It is right on a canal and it is amazing. Contact with the hosts was amazing too. Nothing bad things to say about this property.

Amazing stay at this VRBO.Jonathan was very responsive and the greeter was as well. Great location and the apartment was as advertised. Only thing to note is the canal was very noisy until late at night. We knew that when we booked as it was in the reviews, but it went later than we thought each night. We were glad we only booked 3 night as we would have been sleep deprived if stayed longer.All in all we enjoyed our first trip too Venice!

This was an excellent apartment for a weekend with our family of 5. Checkin was very straight forward even though we wanted to checkin earlier than usual. The apartment has the charm of a period building but with modern bathroom and kitchen facilities. Everything was clean and well kept. It is situated in a quiet part of venice with views overlooking the canals. There are no shortage of fantastic bars and restaurants within 2 minutes walk. Thumbs up to Jonathan the host for answering all our questions about transfers and restaurant tips. We will be staying here again when we return to venice.

Great location

The apartment was nice and in a great location. Many locals lived in this part of town. The bar across the canal was a meeting point for many locals and tourists and always entertaining. Close by are fantastic places for gelato, bread, espresso, and food. The apartment was clean with a great shower. All in all it was a nice experience.

Lovely apartment, just by a canal and the “Fighting Bridge”in a close but quiet neighborhood. Good bars and restaurants are close and the apartment managers were helpful with tips and recommendations. Gondola stop just across the bridge.
