Liked: Staff & service
The staff were very kind, but it smelled like a sewer and the showerhead needs a good cleaning as it was covered in hard water and mildew.

Disliked: Amenities
The location was fantastic. The room was nice. The problem was sewer off gases. Not sure if they came from our bathroom or the outside. The smell was quite gross. There were actually no staff at this hotel. We had to check in across the way at the neighbouring hotel. The man there was very nice but it took over an hour to get checked in as there was a line up and no other help. The breakfast was also nice but again at the other hotel. The hotel Diana seems to be just an extension of the other one(Pananda)

Short walk from St. Mark plaza. Awesome location. Shower was a single stream of water but piping hot.

The property is very close to Saint Mark's Square. And for the purpose of my creative business trip...my art show, filming for my Youtube channel, photo shoots...it was very convenient and helpful and made our project easily successful. Restaurants were all around. They were, however, high end restaurants although prices were comparatively reasonsble compared to cities like Los Angeles and New York. I really didn't stay at the hotel. My crew did. They had no complaints at all. Lobby was beautiful (I saw it because it was just right across my hotel, Antico Panada). Breakfast was served at Antico Panada. Both hotels must be owned by the same company.
We initially selected the hotel for its location as it is close to St Marks where we had some tours booked. The initial concierge was friendly enough but did not go out of his way to assist however the other staff were either non-committal or almost rude. There were no usual hotel amenities such as a kettle or toaster and upon asking we were told straight out no. The bathroom was quite cramped and very antiquated.
Location good. Ceiling was leaking water. I found a towel on the floor behind tv where the water was falling, so the hotel was aware about the leak and booked the room anyway. Front person was rude unhelpful. I had to sleep in that room for the night. I will not go back to that hotel. Very very disappointed!!!
I wouldn’t recommend it, unfortunately. The only positive thing was the location. The hotel definitely needs renovation - it felt like a dungeon inside the rooms. Dirty carpet, old bathrooms, and a funky smell. Additionally, they really should provide better information about the check-in process. When I arrived, the reception was closed for some odd reason, and I had to check in across the street at hotel Panda.

Convenient location
This was a great location off of San Marco square but overall it was a pretty basic setup. There wasn’t a reception desk (you check in and are served by the hotel across the alley) so if you need something you have to walk to the other hotel and ask the front desk receptionist - no phone to connect you to them.
WE LOVED ANS ENJOYED OUR STAY SO MUCH AT DIANA HOTEL. I am traveling with my grandma that is in a wheelchair and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious enough for a wheelchair and the bathroom was very accessible (no steps or bumps) for elderly people. The food at the restaurant was decent and overall we loved the decoration and how comfortable they made us feel. We will definitely be coming back at this hotel. 100% recommend if you plan to stay in Venice.
No where in the description did it say we would be staying in the ‘Garrett’ on the top floor of the hotel. The elevator only goes to floor 3 and you have to climb a tiny circular staircase to reach floor 4. Thankfully we only had carryon luggage because anything bigger would not have fit. The room did have a nice balcony overlooking an inner courtyard but had the poorest excuse for pillows we have ever come across. The breakfast was not worth the empty calories - bad coffee, stale croissants.
We stayed for a total of two nights when we got to the hotel at 1am to check in there was no one there we were waiting for 10 minutes for someone to check us in.
We got into our room which seemed very expensive considering the size and condition of the room.
Our bed had hairs in and dirty marks on we had contacted the hotel with no response.
Breakfast buffet was very small and wasn’t worth the amount we had paid for.
