What an absolutely beautiful property. The Douglas is located next to BC Place and about a 5-10 min walk to Roger’s Arena. There are many restaurants in the property and dozens within a 5 minute walk. The service was friendly and 5/5, the room was modern, quiet and very comfortable. We loved the Aesop products in the bathroom and the robes were so comfy. We will be back.

Stayed here for 2 night during our anniversary! The facilities itself is great. Connected to the JW Marriott. Check in process was a little slow but I think it was just that night. Underground parking is good but pricey at $50 a day. We booked the breakfast option with was room service. Although it was good breakfast I would skip it for the price. Small gym but was most of what you need and it is open 24/7. We walked over to the JW Marriott and realized our gym passes also worked at their gym which is much bigger with lots more equipment. Lots of restaurant options if you prefer to dine in the building. Casinos for those who partake. Short walk to lots of restaurants and coffee options! Staff was friendly. Would stay again!

A beautiful, clean hotel with great staff. We did have an issue with our room, however. They gave us Room 754 next to the Fitness Centre on the 7th floor. In the early mornings we were awakened by the pounding sound of the treadmill. Also the loud, clunking sound of someone dropping their dumbells on the on the floor. I spoke to the people at the front desk and they said they were unable to give us any full or partial refund because we booked through Expedia. Instead, they signed us up for their Marriott rewards program and gave us 5000 bonus points. I was not happy with this response. It's a great hotel otherwise, just don't take Room 754.

DJ in the lobby meant we couldn’t sleep at our desired time of 10pm - constant thumping was felt/heard even through earplugs (which we shouldn’t have to wear). Hotel rooms are meant for sleep when guests desire sleep. Consider moving the nightclub off property or installing much better sound-deadening in the lobby ceiling. We did not rest properly - and for the amount of money paid to stay in this hotel, this is obviously not a good look/experience. Absence of an in room fridge is a bit strange. The Yeti cooler is nice, but doesn’t fit the image of a five star brand when it’s just sitting out in the open. I had also asked for ice to be placed inside - concierge confirmed this but it didn’t happen. Same for my bonvoy number - which was provided but not uploaded. Overall, nice hotel, Aesop amenities were nice, staff was good but the fundamental noise issue led to a lower rating. We won’t be back or recommend unless the noise issue is fixed.
