This apartment was described as “luxury” and while it might’ve been a luxury apartment a decade ago, it is sorely in need of updates and care. The positive highlights are the soaking tub, the view and the unique decor. The detractors are that most of the furnishings have significant rips and stains, there were ants in the kitchen, the mattress on the murphy bed is extraordinarily poor, and the owners didn’t see fit to remove their Playboy Magazines so my 11 year old daughter was exposed to inappropriate content.Another major detractor is that one of the toilets didn’t have a toilet seat, so no one in my family would use it. The owner said the seat broke some time ago and that finding a replacement is difficult. I own a rental and I would’ve replaced the entire toilet before I would’ve let somebody stay in my home without a toilet seat, “Two bathrooms” means two fully functional bathrooms!About the adult magazines in the apartment: I was shocked to find my 11 year old reading Playboy one morning. I do not appreciate my daughter being exposed to that content and I certainly did not intend to have a conversation about pornography while on vacation. The apartment served our needs, but had I known its actual condition vs the description and beautiful photos, I 100% would’ve chosen a different property.
