I recently stayed at the Hyatt Vancouver Metrotown for about three days, and overall I had a great experience. The hotel had only been open for three days when I checked in, so there were still a few small things being worked out, but the staff were absolutely amazing to deal with. Everyone was friendly, helpful, professional, and really made the stay enjoyable.
The location of this hotel is honestly one of the best parts about it. If you’re visiting the Lower Mainland and need easy access to Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, or other surrounding areas, this is an excellent central location. The SkyTrain station is literally right in front of the hotel, and Metrotown Mall is right across from the station, which makes everything extremely convenient.
The hotel itself is very clean, modern, and comfortable. It’s not a massive hotel, it’s only around 10 stories and has approximately 120 rooms, mixed with condominium residences in the building, so it feels more like a boutique-style hotel rather than a huge busy tower. They also have a nice restaurant on-site that’s a decent size and convenient for guests.
One thing I absolutely loved about this hotel, and honestly have never really experienced this well anywhere else, was the blackout blinds in the rooms. They have full blackout blinds that make the room almost completely pitch black, with very little light coming through. If you enjoy sleeping in a dark room like I do, this is a huge bonus. They also have daytime blinds if you prefer
