Loved our stay in this beautiful town. The room was completely comfortable and got a great rest. Hotel owners are so lovely and gave us great recommendations so we could our trip even more to see the redwoods. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience! Jan was awesome! Her hospitality was exceptional. We enjoyed our breakfast on the creek. Our room was immaculate. I highly recommend this Baechtel Creek Inn!

Staff were really nice. The swimming pool wasn't heated and was cold. The hot tub luke warm. Staff came to clean the pool when we wanted to swim and turned up the hot tub. It never got warm. Shower was luke warm but too cold for us to use. Continental breakfast was ok. Beds were comfortable and the location was great

They put us in a room under construction when we paid for a premium room. They tried to bill me again and then charge me some sort of tourist fee (I live in the area). They then told me I over paid through Expedia (which has never happened before) but did not offer to refund me any money. The hot tub bathtub was nice but be sure to bring your own toiletries, pen etc. They did have a coupon for Lumberjacks breakfast but the service was terrible and they were very insulting at check in.

The room was very clean and bright…very welcoming; comfortable place to stay. Continental breakfast is what is usual. Only gripe is we came for breakfast at around 9:00 (we were the only ones there), and the manager (owner?) chose this time to spend about 20 minutes berating the front desk employee about what she had done wrong. It was impossible to enjoy our breakfast on the back patio listening to this (which should have been done without any customers around…shows lack of respect for us and employee). One last note for international customers…they charged the $100 incidentals/damage deposit rather than just putting a hold…which when they refunded the charge resulted in a net charge of $5.13 CAD due to exchange rate; they should change the policy of how they handle cc charges.

The owner would not allow us to park in the hotel parking lot because we had a trailer. We even unhooked the trailer and parked the truck next to it, but he still didn’t want us taking up two parking spaces. I would have completely understood if the parking lot had been full. However, there were only about 15 vehicles there during our stay, leaving plenty of empty spaces. I explained that our truck contained thousands of dollars’ worth of work tools and asked if we could park closer to our room instead of along the road for security reasons. Unfortunately, the owner was unwilling to accommodate us. Breakfast also wasn’t available until after 8:00 a.m., which doesn’t work well for those traveling for work or needing to leave early. Overall, this hotel is probably fine for a leisurely vacation stay, but I would not recommend it for anyone traveling for work, leaving early in the morning, or towing a trailer.
