In Tulum, the best beaches sit behind private beach clubs. Beach day reservations are placed directly in the app the day before — one tap, no back-and-forth — so your morning opens with a confirmed name on the list.

A note on how Tulum works. Most clubs here operate on a minimum consumption: a set food-and-drink spend that stands in for entry. It's standard here, and amounts vary by club. Through October, many waive or ease minimums entirely; in high season, they firm up. The app maps it out ahead of time, so there's nothing to negotiate on the sand. Outside food and drink aren't permitted — everything comes from the club's kitchen.

For a free option, there are public beach access points and a small handful of Tulum hotels keep public beach access open. We'll point you to the ones worth the trip for your week, with honest notes on chair availability and crowds.

Allow extra time to get to beach in high season as there can be traffic.
