Although I supposedly was in the development where the hotel is located---if it actually exists---I never actually saw it. No telephone number was given in the booking, and the only address given was Aldea Zama in Tulum. Aldea Zama is a large development, but the five people in that development I asked---including two taxi drivers---had never heard of the hotel and had no idea where it was. After traveling all day, I then got spend 3 evening hours hanging around outside of a security guard gatepost in an Aldea Zama development getting bitten by mosquitos and trying to connect with the hotel via Expedia. Expedia did eventually reach the hotel, but that didn't solve the problem. The hotel just claimed to have sent me a text with a map, which I did not receive. Via Expedia, I gave the hotel the precise address of where I was---again, supposedly less than a mile from wherever the hotel was---and asked them to send someone in a car, a motorcycle, a bicycle or whatever to lead me to the hotel, but they refused. Expedia relocation services eventually found me another hotel, although it was locked up for the night before I got there. So I had to find *another* hotel on my own and did not get to sleep until the early hours of the morning. This was the worst hotel experience I have had in my more than 5 decades on the planet.
