This hotel is a bit shabby around the edges but has a lovely outdoor pool and deck space. Good value for the budget traveller and a great location if you are visiting the east end of Toronto.

Misleading, more like a motel

The photos for this hotel are very misleading, you think you are booking a 3-star hotel stay (and paying that type of price) but really it is more on the level of a motel. The bathtub was stained with mold (though the cleaning manager claims it was not mold) and the toilet seat was so stained that we had to raise awareness for it to be changed. The room itself is just very old, and the floors do not appear clean at all. When we raised concerns regarding the cleanliness, the cleaning manager was argumentative. The outside and lobby area are dirty. Overall, a very disappointing stay and we couldn’t wait to leave.

Not worth the money

Hotel is close to public transportation, utilitlize that or get an Uber, despite the recommendation of the guy at the front desk. It is NOT easier to drive and it is NOT easy to find parking around the downtown area. It was easy to get to a few places on the outskirts of the city. Hotel itself could have been cleaner. I know they use subpar rooms for people who book through apps but at least make an attempt to look clean. We had the blood stained mattress someone else wrote about in a review so I guess they're not worried about that. There was mold in the bathroom around the tub, and dust all around the top of crown molding in the bedroom. My kids ended up getting stuck on the balcony our first night there and maintenance had to come fix the door let them in. After that, it wouldn't open again.

It was a good stay overall. The only thing that was “bad” was the lighting in the washroom. It was very dull like it was dying and took a long time to “warm up” and become brighter. Not a huge deal but it definitely is time to change lights. The restaurant was mediocre. It was inconvenient that there is only 1 person serving as she was busy and talking with other guests and it took far too long just to place drink and food order. The lady was very sweet lady though.

I've stayed often at this hotel in the past. It was convenient when i had things to do within the area and downtown. Unfortunately due to the construction I went somewhere else. Figured it was time to come back to my old spot. Unfortunately it seems like there has not been any upkeep since the last time I stayed here. None of the lights in my room worked. elevators were broken down one night. to add to this it seems like they had rented out the place to a film crew that took precedent over guest comfort. I'm not one to ever leave negative comments but I figure somebody needs to hear this so they can remedy their situation before it goes even further downhill

The hotel is cheap to stay at. The people at the front desk are really nice. But the rooms need a definite update. The carpets looked very dirty, there was mould around the bathtub and plus the sliding door to the balcony definitely needs to be updated at the room that we stayed in. My husband and I stayed there recently and it was hard to open the sliding door. Good thing we both had our cell phones because the sliding door got stuck to the point that we couldn’t enter back into our room. We had to call front desk for somebody to open up our hotel room door
