I've stayed at Dragon Gate Inn on a few occasions over the past two years. I have had a good experience as a solo traveler and also with company. Quick courteous check-in and a rate that's very affordable considering it is downtown. I will stay again.

This was just fine for a quick stay in Toronto near a lot of cool shops and restaurants. The area is very walkable and the street car is convenient too. Internet could have been less spotty but it was fine for a short stay. The rooms had mini-kitchens which was useful.

Kitchenette was clean and staff were friendly. The neighbourhood feels very “inner-city” but we felt safe and found everything we needed nearby. The entrance was not well-marked, it’s just a door along the storefronts. Our room was modest but clean and spacious. Quiet at night.

This was an ultra basic room, if that’s what you’re looking for, tiny, tiny, tiny, almost no room to get around the end of the beds lol. Pretty clean, being behind a locked gate and two locked doors and down some pretty steep stairs was unusual. Minimal plug in’s, good location for what we were there for, probably try another location next time.
