I stayed with WPU for 2N. Everything is excellent. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The only problem with me is the AC. It turns to be heater from central and unable to switch to AC. It was too stuffy and hard to breathe for me. However, a female staff was help me to open a window and offered me a fan 🙏 Thank you very much. I recommended WPU Hotel.

Hotel was ok. Nice lobby and people. But our room smelled bad of B.O the moment we walked in the room and never went away. We had the windows open the whole time and it helped for a little but once you close the window it starts to smell like b.o again. Bedsheets had some hair on it still.

First, I have to say, I have a very sensitive nose. And I cannot tell you how awful the smell was and not just upon entering the lobby, but throughout the different floors and even the rooms. We stayed on the 4th floor, tested the 6th and 8th floors. All floors had the same sickly smell. They run some type of air purifier on every floor right by the elevators. So, I think they are aware but cannot do much about it. I tried to get something similar for the room and they said they would run it in the rooms but couldn't really leave it. I think it permeates from the burger joint below and the ventilation is just non existent. The smell is ingrained in the carpet and every nook and cranny. We got some relief when the burger joint was closed for 2 days for New Years. But again because it is ingrained, the smell never really goes away. I had to continually spray air freshner for some temporary relief. The room is small, dark, and the carpet had various stains. This was the last hotel at the end of our vacation. And only 1 reviewer mentioned a smell. I am sooo sad and wished I had know beforehand because it really soured the last few days of our stay. And I gotta say, for the price, it is better to stay somewhere else.

The staff at WPU Hotel Shinjuku are super friendly and accommodating. Due to a previous issue, I was given an upgrade to my room, which I very much appreciated. Rooms are clean, amenities (face cream, shaver, loofa, etc.) were all welcome additions to my body care regimen! Also, the craft beer selection at the WPU Cafe is excellent.

Great hotel and hotel staff but 2nd to last day my card key stopped working. A bit inconvenient but fortunately was able to ask front desk to issue me a new card. If it wasn’t for the card issue, I’d give it 5 stars. I’ll stay here again since it’s conveniently located from Shinjuku station and walkable!
