It is important to note that the motel was located right next to a Juvenile Justice facility and shared the same parking lot with it. Another reason for my low rating was the fact that the staff person stocking and servicing the breakfast area appeared to be very ill - they were coughing and hacking very loudly, seemed to be having difficulty breathing and appeared to be hardly able to stand upright the whole time they were around the food, which made me uncomfortable eating what was otherwise a very nice looking continental breakfast. I can only imagine that the management does not allow the workers to take paid sick time, which really needs to be addressed by corporate. The property is also located near a train line that runs all night, so loud train horns sounded frequently throughout the night, which could cause issues for some people. In other respects, the motel was clean and somewhat kept up, but with the odd poorly maintained detail, such as nice looking beds and decorations but a chair that was visibly peeling black vinyl all over the floor. Also, the hallway lighting was very dim and flickered on and off periodically. The price was definitely very reasonable and the rooms were clean and comfortable, but I would not stay here again due to the poor health of staff/poor food safety, and the loud, somewhat unsafe looking surrounding area.
