    Walking holiday Ironbridge

    Terrific stay

    This was the ideal traditional place to stay. Very welcoming, comfortable and with delicious food. I would have liked to have stayed longer and will definitely come again. Thank you!

    Good value and excellent reception from staff

    Good old fashioned hospitality in olde world pub,substantial food at reasonable prices

    Pros: warm welcome

    Cons: leave exactly as it is

    Location: Quiet location, off season so limited facilities in town, good excuse for an early night!

    Lovely overnight stay

    We were looking for somewhere to stay overnight to break up our journey, and decided to give the Bird In Hand a go. We were welcomed and looked after very well, and instantly felt comfortable. The dinner in the evening was great. They make no bones about it being anything other than pub food, but that means they do it very well. The steak was outstanding. January isn't the best time to visit the gorge, but we'll almost certainly be back in better weather!

    Pros: Comfort, location, food.

    Location: Plenty of countryside and museums nearby.
