Not the best sadly but ok for one night. Bed had crisp packets under it, bathroom cold despite radiator being on. New owners from last month so some policies have changed like check in time but they kindly allowed me to check in half an hour early at 1430. Hotel needs money spent on it as very dated sadly. Ideal for walking the Wrekin though

The room was not well cleaned (dust on wall lights and carpet. Room was also very cold so it wasnt the sleep i was lookimg for. Only 1 shower gel and 1 shampoo (tiny bottles) provided for a booking of 4 people. Cubwebs in the bethroom, rusted bathroom rail with stained shower curtain. Thebstay was not worth the money paid!

I booked a superior deluxe room and was give a single room with moldy bed sheets and no bath towel. When I questioned this the reception staff advised that the room had been allocated by the system. I know this was incorrect as the receptionist who booked me in asked the manager if i should be allocated room 108 (superior deluxe) or 110 (single) and he advised to allocate me room 110. Very disappointed. No wifi, internet connection, TV had only 2 channels that worked. Spolit my mood for my stay sadly.

The room itself was pleasant and clean. The staff were helpful. The hotel itself is getting dated and in need of a bit of refurbishment. One major issue, no restaurant. No food available at all, no evening meal, no breakfast, even though breakfast was available when I booked. It could be so much more, set in lovely grounds, quite a nice building, but suffering from a lack of attention to decoration.

Why were there empty food packets underneath the bed? Why did the shower drip when turned on and have no flow? Why were there black bits on the bed linen? Why does it cost £15 to leave luggage prior to check-in? Why were the rooms not clean? Having paid £110 for a double room for my daughter and her partner I would expect much more. They left as soon as they could the next day and who could blame them. Clearly standards are so low; simply how can management and staff accept paying guests knowing that the guests will be exposed to such poor conditions. Only the location of the Wrekin saves it; such a poor hotel in such a wonderful location. Suffice to say my family or I will never be going back

The hotel was in a quiet location, the room was clean, tidy of a little dated in its decor. If/ when the owners start to update I’d suggest putting power sockets with USB charging points each side of the bed, the bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep during my stay.

We paid £40 and were quite happy for 1 night. We didn’t have breakfast booked. But the restaurant/bar was closed and there isn’t anything close by without a car. But shop/pubs minutes away by car. Room was freezing, lots of people complaining or being given heaters. We were moved and then perfectly warm. Carpets on stairs need a hoover. Nice decor in rooms. They felt clean. Reception were friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel twice before you then could get food delivered to your room. This time there was no food available and had to go to a pub to find a meal, no breakfast available again had to go out to find some and no bar. Definitely the worst stay I've had there and will not be going again. Hugely disappointed.
