I’m not even sure where to start with our recent 8 night stay at Ocho. My husband and I had our first trip to Costa Rica and after staying at the Bungalows, I don’t know how we will ever vacation anywhere else. Everything was BEYOND top notch. Bungalows: exactly as pictured! Beautiful and private with all of the amenities you need. The housekeeping staff works tirelessly to make sure they are immaculate! The grounds are kept spotless and the pool is also beautiful. Location: Ocho is in the heart of Tamarindo, but when you walk in the property, you feel light years away from any city life. The bungalows are situated ocean front so you can wake up for beautiful morning beach walks as well. Beach Club: The food at the beach club is so fresh and fantastic! The fruit is to die for. Breakfast each morning was filling and so tasty. Choices included Eggs Benedict, fruit and yogurt parfaits, French toast, pancakes and traditional American and Costa Rican breakfasts. Lunch and dinner were just as good! Service: The service at Ocho Bungalows is what truly sets it apart from anywhere I have stayed before. Staff takes care to learn your name and likes/dislikes on day 1. They instantly make you feel like family while sharing their culture with you. I celebrated my birthday while there and Gio, Pamela and Priscilla went out of their way to make it absolutely perfect and amazing during a romantic beach front dinner. Both Gabriel’s, Bryan, Leny, Priscilla, Zuly, Gio, and Pamela were AMAZING!

Great little boutique hotel, staff was very nice and helpful. The food was surprisingly great, just didn’t expect it for a small beach front hotel. Pool was quite with a picture frame view of the ocean. We stayed in the beachfront bungalow, which has a nice outdoor seating area. It is a little small for two couples, which we were, but doable. Close walk to town for other choices to eat or shop.

I stayed here last night . The staff are very nice and friendly but are not very knowledgeable on tours as someone external is planning these things for guests rather than the staff in site. We were not highly impressed by a request via PayPal for deposit on tours or constant barraging of strange numbers messaging me. It is highly unprofessional of a property to message guests to send money to them via PayPal . The price of accommodation does not reflect the property at all. It is not worth what you pay for. It is essentially a 3 star. Breakfast options don’t have açaí bowls, which is what people want in that type of weather. The pool is nice but we saw a guest smoking marijuana near the pool. This is more of a hostel vibe rather than a 4 star accommodation. At no point should an accommodation allow a guest to smoke cannabis. For 200-250£ a night, guardian uk recommended it , I don’t believe it to be worth this

We stayed at Ocho a few weeks ago and I'm still dreaming of it. It was by far the best spot on the beach and I loved the manager's dj play lists and even shazamed them so I could save them! Very chill vibe on the beach and really a perfect location there and then literally a 3 min walk to town. There was also a very cool food truck park right behind and I wish we wouldve ate there more! The bungalows are fantastic with so much charm and rich CR wood. We just loved everything about it. The staff was fantastic... Gio was by far our fav and even saw us out one night. He was so fun and attentive. There was a lady behind the bar that was very bubbly and friendly and another waitress (curly hair) that was so sweet. The food was fantastic, the pool was under utilized by us and everyone really but was very nice and peacefull. the front desk ladies always had good suggestions and were very friendly as well. I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to come back.

The property was everything I was hoping for. It was beautiful, quiet, peaceful. But what we loved most was the amazing and hospitable staff that was so friendly, and eager to make us happy at any time day or night. We really loved the uniqueness of the bungalows and appreciated the natural beauty. We did NOT want to stay in a conventional high-rise hotel - and Ocho was the perfect blend of luxury with natural beauty. Very convenient and could walk to all of the great restaurants!

This was by far our favourite vacation. The staff at this location were amazing! The bartenders, wait staff, chef, concierge and cleaning staff did absolutely everything possible to make our stay so wonderful. Our room was like something out of a dream. Private and yet social when we wanted. Location was best location. Short walk to all the shops and restaurants. 100/10. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fabulous vacation. The location of this property is second to none. It has an upscale yet bohemian vibe. The food was always delicious with lot's of options. Also many gluten-free choices. Our stay at this beachfront bungalow in Tamarindo was absolutely magical! 🌺 It was the perfect romantic getaway—cozy, private, and just steps from the ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves and watching the sunset from our porch was unforgettable.
