Hotel location was really conveniently placed. The old lady at the front desk was very sweet and super helpful (recommended some good eating places too). Think three stars is a bit on the low end. Was happy with the stay. Giving 5 stars to get their rating up to where it should be (4 - 4.5).

6/10 Okay

It’s an okay place, you know you get what you pay for. What can I say-the room is tiny, there is no concierge, room service, etc. but is a decent location with lots to do nearby.

This is a nice hotel. It’s my third visit. The staff are friendly and really helpful. It just felt as if the property wasn’t quite as spotless as in previous years. Bits of mould here and there on the wallpaper and behind curtains.

2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Terrible place to stay. Room is very outdated and not well maintained. A lot of stains everywhere, hair on the bed, cobwebs, uncleaned toilet, and handprints on mirrors/glasses. Also saw anys crawling on my suitcase and AC was not working well on a 33 degree day. Elevator carpet was heavily stained and tarnished and smells like moth balls. I showed staff the photos and they told me they continously deflected with a passive aggresive tone and told me they already “upgraded my room” (which was the room I booked initially anyways) and they are happy to order another cleaner. I asked if the place was already cleaned before I arrived and they replied yes. Clearly the place was still dirty so how could another clean help? Not to mention that would mean I need to wait for another room. I said I wanted a refund and they could only offer 50%. Terribly run and mismanaged place - do yourself a favour and pick another hotel in Taipei.

Lovely staff and super quiet inside but be aware it's getting tired and while the sheets and towels were good the overall cleanliness is questionable. Lots of dust in corners, any vent spaces and bathroom smelt like piss near toilet. I've stayed here twice but I will likely try somewhere else next time.

Small, cramped rooms with a friendly staff who speak very limited English. Ximen MRT is very close but it’s not all that convenient when it is hot as hell outside.
