Good place for families!!

Well located hotel in taipei....rooms are ample and in good condition. The only issue we had was that the staff barely speak english, but we and them found a way!!

We booked the deluxe family suite, which is huge. A living room (with work table and small dining table), separate bedroom with a king and a queen, a bathroom with standing shower and a tub, plus a closet. Water foundation at each floor and a small fridge in the room. Washer dryer on site. Great soundproofing. Although it doesn’t have a gym or pool, we feel it has everything we are looking for for our relatively long stay in Taipei.

The entire building was wrapped for construction. No view of outside at all and no natural sunlight. The notice from the hotel management a week prior to our stay only mentioned inconvenience caused by construction, but did not mention anything about the wrapping and lack of outside light, which created a very claustrophobic feeling. On the first night, we could not sleep on account of the very bright bathroom light being unable to be turned off. We had to report the maintenance issue to staff next day for them to repair the faulty switch. Not a single apology from the staff for the problem it caused us. Instead, made us feel we were troubling them with a maintenance request. Will not stay there again even without the construction issue.

Room was big and very quiet, they must have great sound-proofing because I didn’t even hear a thing when it was pouring outside. Beds are very comfortable. Although deco is a little old fashioned but the place is kept well and very clean. Hotel provides snack in the room and in the lobby for guests, and umbrellas to borrow when it rains. Would definitely stay here again and recommends it to friends.
