The location is the best part about this hotel! We checked in and got the keys at the partner hotel and they transported our luggage to the Cinque Suites for us, which was very easy. The room felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel and it wasn't exactly spotless, but it was spacious and plenty comfortable. Well worth it!

We had a great few nights here. The staff (while not directly on site) were readily available and very helpful. Fantastic location with great shopping, cafes and sight seeing within steps.

Extremely disappointed for following reasons:- Booked continental breakfast for duration believing the property had a rooftop terrace available for our stay and breakfast. Learned on arrival when asking for breakfast service times that breakfast was no longer provided by the hotel. Not notified in advance of arrival despite booking 8 months before and not informed in any of our correspondence. A voucher was offered at a cafe, 5 min walk away for a pastry, hot drink, juice only - no savoury/fruit option - not the continental offering originally booked. Rooftop area no longer in use. Again not informed prior to arrival. Area not clean, pigeon droppings everywhere, all furniture stacked up, all plants dead, cushions filthy and stained. Space not fit for purpose - but we were told at reception it was available to use - even though not serving breakfast there anymore. During stay the lounge light fell from the ceiling and a replacement light was not provided so difficult to use the space anymore as too dark. The hotel WhatsApp business account used during our stay pictured breakfast on the rooftop which is misleading and inaccurate. The Hotels.com information and images used for this property listing are inaccurate and misleading. Booked this hotel specifically to be able to use the rooftop for relaxation and also for the inhouse breakfast. Very disappointed as we have used Hotels.com for years.

Ortigia is a must for history lovers

Ortigia overall is a beautiful, historic town. A great place to stroll the streets and admire architecture from a different time. Good food and several shops to explore. This stay was a bit disappointing. It is natural for old homes in Europe to smell poorly due to the construction and humidity, however this was more than normal. Our clothing smelled heavily of the odour for the remainder of our trip. At first sight, the apartment is beautiful - white washed exposed stone walls and wood ceiling. Pretty tile walls line the shower - great water pressure! There was even an outdoor hot tub. HOWEVER…when you actually get a good look, the place is in much need of TLC, specifically the bathroom, hot tub and doors leading to it. Also, when you leave the apartment you are forced to shut down the hydro…this also shuts down the refrigerator, so be aware if you intend on buying and perishable food. Overall, Ortigia was stunning. This apartment could be too with a bit of attention.

Registration was in an entirely different location, at least 15 minutes away from the property. We had to take a taxi there first to pick up the key while the taxi waited. Even though there was only one couple ahead of us at registration, it was at least 15 minutes waiting time before we could complete our registration and finally proceed to our room. We don’t believe the website mentioned that there was no elevator on the property and we climbed up four flights of stairs which is an issue when you have two large suitcases. The bathroom needs to be upgraded. It looked rather unsightly.

Best stay in Ortigia!

Amazing property in Ortigia. Super central location and 5 minutes from everything Syracuse can offer. The property is outstanding and beautiful, very modern and full of amenities. We stayed in suite 1 and it had a private full sized hot tub in the room! The lady at the concierge was super helpful, she gave us great directions and even made reservations for our dinner. I really wish I had plan for a longer stay in Ortigia.
