The room had a lovely view but was run down, dirty windows, patches of paint missing from the walls and the conditioner dispenser broken and empty in the bathroom. For the amount we paid I was pretty shocked at the lack of care and standard of the facilities.

The power shorted out and when I notify the staff they then tried to put some blame on me. Luckily my boyfriend is a electrician and was able to tell staff what the problem was. There was water leaking from the roof that was going down the walls and into the power point in the bathroom. The power shorted out several times. The mains (power board) cover kept coming off which was dangerous. The balcony door didn't have a lock and my boyfriend said it would be no big deal because who's going to be six stories up however the next morning there was window washers on our balcony so this posed a security issue. Did not appreciate the cleaners coming early in the morning and vacuuming the rooms next to us at 8:30am when we were sleeping. Did notify the staff about the leaking sink but when the maintenance man came he said there was nothing wrong even though I showed him several times - how I put a dry tissue at the base of the bowl and when I removed it it was wet. Place is old and needs a big refurbish. Didn't sleep very well as it's very noisy inside with people banging doors all night plus the city's motorbike parking is right there so you're hearing motorbikes starting up at 6am in the morning. Pillows very lumpy. When I checked out I wanted to speak to a manager but they said the manager doesn't work on the weekend which I knew they would say something like this because I had made several complaints. Loved the free coffee and biscuits

There was a water shut down for 4 hours, and no reaction or compensation from the staff and just he kept saying, ‘it never happened before so I don’t know how to do’. I couldn’t even take a shower and that night was terrible. It should be refunded.

The staff were great, the room was okay. Could be cleaner but it took me way too long to work out how to turn the mirror light off (there was only instructions to change the light tone). Also the toilet was very annoying and would make noise of a night.

Room was clean and staff was very nice and helpful. However, the shower head could not be attached to the shower arm, so it was a bit inconvenient to use. Otherwise, our experience was very good.

Took two in person visits and two phone calls to get towels. The shower would turn from normal temp to scalding. Reported everyday. No one cared until our FIFTH day when I said I was calling the Health Dept and asked for a manager who I was told was gone until the next week. The Maintenance Manager finally stepped up and gave us a partial refund. Got the water fixed. Brought us wine champagne and snacks and cookies. But that was the fifth day. All we wanted from the first day was water that would not suddenly change and burn us. The front reception staff are like teenagers and chat among themselves but do not follow through. The place is more like a hostel than hotel. Cannot recommend. We are a professional couple who stayed there for a week. The one good thing is location downtown. And a good coffee shop next door. It’s not well kept up. It’s old rooms that need total refreshing w paint and furniture and decor. The toilet is yellow stained. Find another choice. It’s not worth it.
