Not as shown. Walked in and roaches scattered. No towels. There was a rodent in the room in the middle of the night. Emptied 2 cans of bug spray into all cracks and door jambs. Could not access balcony and there were 5-6 air conditioning units on the balcony wall that kept us awake all night, along with being right above the indoor/outdoor smoking bar. Tried to book alternate accommodation but couldn’t find anything due to it being Easter weekend. Bathroom was “shared” between all rooms by the look of it. Dirty, and old toiletries everywhere. Toilet cubicles had either broken/no toilet seats and broken/no door handles or locks. DO NOT get room 4… Only upside was the close proximity to Redfern train station.

The property is basically apartments above a pub that may be 100 years old. Located about 100 meters from the train station which made it convenient. Checkin and checkout basically rely on the pub hours. No air conditioning (although balcony doors can be opened) and no obvious source of heat in cooler months. Bed moderately comfortable. Shared bathroom not well maintained and no hook for clothes during shower. One toilet stall door wouldn’t lock. My room was on the third floor and loud noises from the pub lasted until the patrons went home. During my stay in Sydney I saw several other examples of old properties like this. I would suggest a hostel as a budget alternative.

It's a little bit run down... maybe some renovations... paint, refresh the washrooms? Bedding sheets were good. Good price and close to train station. Easy to get around. Thanks!

NO NO NO - Room was appalling / there was slamming doors all the time, the doors need foam / rubber inserts in the frame - no carpet on floor - very squeaky floor boards - just not good enough -
