Important Notes for Guests
Character & Wear: This is a charm-filled, older property that has been updated for modern group stays. As with any well-loved estate, there is natural minor wear and tear; please set expectations accordingly.
Seasonal Pool & Landscaping: The hot tub is open year-round! The swimming pool and outdoor lounge furniture are open seasonally during summer months only. Off-season pricing reflects pool closure and natural fall/winter foliage changes from surrounding trees. Pool closed from October to end of May.
Other things to note
Cooling & Comfort
Air Conditioning: We do not have central AC. Portable AC units are installed in the upstairs bedrooms for summer stays (June – Sept). Non-bedroom spaces have fans. The basement bedrooms stay naturally cooler during hot months, so they are equipped with fans as well.
Linens: We use high-quality colored duvets and bedsheets rather than the white duvets shown in our listing photos.
Pool & Backyard Guidelines
Season & Loungers: The pool and outdoor loungers are open seasonally from June through September.
Pool Heating: Optional heating is available for $150/day (natural gas). If requested, heating must be turned on for the full duration of your stay. Please let us know at least a week before your trip to prepare this as we need to turn it on prior to arrival.
Pool Hours: For safety due to low evening lighting, pool use ends at 10:00 PM.
Pool Liner: The pool liner shows a slight cosmetic yellowish tint due to age. It is clean and fully sanitized; a replacement is on backorder.
Off-Season Stays: During fall and winter, our rates are reduced to reflect the closed/winterized pool and natural seasonal landscaping changes (falling leaves, trimmed plants, etc.).
Noise & Neighborhood
Quiet Hours: We are in a quiet, noise-sensitive neighborhood. Please, no music or loud noises outdoors at any time.
Basement Lounge: You are welcome to play music and enjoy the pool table in the private basement! Just keep the doors and windows closed to keep noise from carrying outside.
BBQ Propane
If the propane tank runs out during your stay, feel free to exchange it at any local gas station. Send us a picture of the receipt and we will reimburse you promptly!
Pest Control
For your comfort, professional pest control units (small black boxes) are discreetly placed around the property. They are locked, safe, and serviced regularly by a licensed company.
