We have always had great stays but they gave us a room that was renovated there was a plaster footprint in the carpet paint overtop of grab bars no hangers . The bed had a small pee mark in the middle of the bed the sheets had a sweat mark on them and the room didn’t have the heat on. They redid the bed and did give us the option of extra blankets which we declined hoping the room would warm up during the cold spell but it didn’t warm up till almost 2-3am. So by that time you know you’re going to be getting up and leaving

Room was nice. The only con was the weird placement of the bathroom light; It was outside the bathroom next to the main door. Main pro for me was the TV; a Hisense android TV that I could pair my bluetooth headphones with, access my home media library and cast youtube. The included breakfast buffet was basic but functional. It had the fresh waffle maker, which I really like, but no syrup or honey? Maybe I missed them? I had my waffles with butter and jam. The restaurant, Eagle & Olive, was extremely convenient. Pub and Italian style food for an ok price. About 20$ after tax for most mains. I always picked up, so I can't speak for the service. Food was tasty and the portions reasonable. I would consider staying here again.

Quality of breakfast food was not great (bruised fruit, broken timer on waffle maker). The floor and bathroom in our room was extremely cold. A vent in the wall was handing ajar, and our cat almost escaped through it. Staff were friendly and helpful overall.

The gentleman at the front desk was the most friendly, and courteous person I have met at a hotel front desk. I inquired if I could check out later, and he was extremely accommodating. Even offering me a place to wait after I checked out. The complementary gift bag of water and snacks was a much appreciated surprise. The breakfast at the days inn shocked me. I travel and stay at many hotels through work. This was by far the best complementary breakfast spread I have ever seen in a Canadian hotel. Lots of options everything fresh. I did not anticipate such a quality breakfast, and was once again taken back by the care and commitment the staff have made to make this experience one to remember. Reasonable rates, great staff, and clean big newly renovated rooms. I will be a returning customer.

Breakfast was lacking and not that great. A worker randomly entered our room unannounced. They said they knocked and it was a check up on the room ... I've never heard of that before. Room was ok otherwise Note to worker: Just be honest and say it was a mistake because I wouldn't have mentioned it in the review if you apologized and didn't lie.
