Strawberry with the South Fork of the Stanislaus River running through it and its large meadow is a truly idyllic gem. Overlook is very private with river in front and forest on two sides. It is well appointed and was totally remodeled in 2004. All the creature comforts yet cabin living. With Overlook you get it all: natural beauty, whitewater, privacy, comfort, any season of the year.

We've stayed at this Overlook cabin several times and it is always perfect. Brought our entire family (3 teenagers, parents, grandparents, and uncle) and everyone had a comfortable bed and plenty of space to hang out. The kitchen was perfect for our group. The trails/roads right outside our doorstep were amazing. Will definitely try to book it again.

Wow! We are local so didn’t travel far but had a very peaceful beautiful time at Overlook. We walked to the Strawberry inn and walked along the river. The downstairs poker table was a hit with my family and 20/23 year olds. It was very quiet except for very beautiful rooster next door which we loved!

The cabin was very clean and perfect for our group. The kids loved the downstairs room with the ping pong table, while the adults enjoyed hanging out on the upstairs deck. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, and the beds were comfortable. The view from the deck was beautiful, and hearing the river below made the stay even more relaxing. There was plenty of parking, and the cabin had a cozy feel that made us feel right at home. Dennis was quick to respond whenever we had a question, and the check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely come back!

We love this house and its location near Pinecrest lake. It’s large living and kitchen area are very nice. Well kept up and nicely situated among sugar pine and cedar trees overlooking the river.
