Beautiful and clean hotel, we stayed for 5 nights. The staff ( Thomas, Ben, Mel and Ellie) were excellent, pleasant, friendly and welcoming! The staff make the hotel. Restaurant and bar on site, live entertainment on some nights.

A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, unfortunately the level of service was poor, we stayed 3 nights and our room was not serviced despite leaving the sign on the door, seemed to be a lack of management leadership, staff didn't seem to know what they were supposed to be doing, no urgency even when no food at breakfast.

Key room doest work wasted almost 3 hours with long journey. No sufficient staff. Looked like there is only 1 person for all needs. Just a hype to look old and characteristic hotel. We are regulars at this tourist hotel which tends to specialise in bus tours for foreign visitors and older travellers. We use it as a base to visit the Highlands north of Inverness and when we had our dog it was great as it is definitely dog friendly. In general the hotel is a little tired but the bus tourists certainly keep the numbers up. There is a very good Chinese restaurant and a pizza restaurant within walking distance if you want to eat out as the bus tours tend to fill the hotel restaurant. The staff are very helpful and there is often musical entertainment in the evening.
