We booked this property because the original listing showed it on the beach side of A1A, which turned out to be inaccurate. Although that was disappointing, we decided to keep the reservation and make the best of it.The home itself has an older, “lived-in” feel, which wasn’t an issue for us. However, the cleanliness was a significant concern. The main living area had a strong odor of dog urine, and the couches also had an unpleasant smell. The rugs appeared quite dirty, and after the first day we noticed our feet were becoming visibly dirty from walking barefoot indoors, so we kept shoes on for the remainder of the stay.There were also several maintenance and upkeep issues: worn linens, uncomfortable pillows (we ended up purchasing our own), and loose headboards that were not attached to the bed frames and would hit the wall with movement. The yard fence was damaged in multiple places and not secure for pets. We also noticed hair on bedding and along room edges, mold on the shower ceiling, and a smear on a bedroom door frame that we had to clean ourselves.When we reported some of these issues early in our stay, the response from property management was minimal and did not lead to any resolution.This property has potential, but it would benefit from more accurate listing details, a thorough deep clean, and general maintenance before we could recommend it.
