When I arrived to check in, there was no one at the front desk for 20+ minutes. Hotel was clearly understaffed. There were little flying bugs (gnats maybe) in my room. Will not be staying here again.

Skip the breakfast. They were out of eggs and sausage and kept saying both "were in the warmer and will be ready soon" but still nothing. And had dry cereal as "we won't have milk until tomorrow". I can understand running out of some things, but they know how many people are staying so seemed very unprepared. No towels in the pool and definitely needed some things repaired (broken shower at the pool, leaking roof in the foyer, our room's hair dryer ripped off the wall). I'll say though the staff were all nice to us and rooms were clean, there was just a lot of maintenance needed.

Bed was uncomfortable. Room was clean but the lobby had mildew smell. The breakfast hours are short so don’t sleep in. Room cost more than was initially advertised when I booked and payment was taken immediately and not when we arrived. Convenient to I-55 and town, etc.

Too m was quiet and got good sleep. However the room had a stale odor to it and the toilet was dirty upon arrival. We got in very late and just slept and notified the front desk of the conditions of the room. The lady at the front desk did not appear to know what to do with my complaint.

Wait for rooms

The hotel was fine. We stayed on a Sunday night because we went to a concert at the State Fair in Springfield. It was very slow checking in about 4:30 - check-in started at 4. There was quite a few people in front of me and rooms weren’t ready. I eventually got a room, about 45 min wait. I think it was busier than normal b/c of the fair and concert. Although it was frustrating, I would probably stay there again. The price was good and the room was clean.

Check in time was 4pm and several rooms were not cleaned and ready making our check in time take about 30 mins. since we had to wait in line behind 4 others customers and only one staff working. We did not get into our room until after 5pm. There was no bedding for the pull out couch was in the room. We did not get breakfast. It would have been nice to have breakfast available past 9am.

Not Impressed

So first impressions were ruined immediately when we walked into our room and stared at 2inch high frayed carpet. A few miniature ants crawling around the room. Poor sound isolation between the rooms. Could clearly hear a normal conversation next door. Elevator inspection expired in 2024. It's now August 2025. If they paid attention to the details, it would be a nice place.
