The crowne plaza was a nice place to stay 10 years ago. However this recent visit was very disappointing. When we arrived you are told that your stay comes with complimentary valet parking as well as a $10 credit per day for food or drinks. What they neglected to mention is they charge a $30 resort fee which is for $20 a day for valet and $10 credit for food/drinks. The valet is a whole other issue. With a full hotel of guest there are only 2 valet workers at a time. So you can be waiting up to 20 plus minutes for your car.
The room we first checked into felt like a dorm room in college. The window was only 2 feet tall and it was at the top of the wall. So you had to stand on your tippy toes to look out the window. The view was the roof top next door. This was on the 3rd floor. It was a very dark and stuffy room. I did end up getting my room changed to a better one, however I know I’m not the only one who was stuck on the 3rd floor with a room like that. I watched anther couple complaining about the same thing. The room I was moved into had so many problems. First the door didn’t lock, so they needed to get that fixed. My toilet worked 2 out of 3 times. A part of the cabinet was completely broken. And it was just old and run down. The ac dripped water on th balcony and there was no drainage, so you had to wear sneakers if you wanted to go on the balcony. Because you were standing in a pool of water. It was so disappointing staying here.
