Despite a great location, this is a 3 star resort at best. For a holiday weekend in October, the restaurant was closed and there was no front desk. Check in was down the street at another resort. The $50 resort fee was a surprise and not specified when booking. Cleanliness was satisfactory.

We booked an ocean view room and ended up on the second floor. Was hoping for a first floor room and didn’t realize there was a second floor options as well when we booked otherwise would have specified we wanted a first floor room. The pools are clean but a little dated, the indoor pool deck was rocky and hurt our feet and crumbling under our feet and there was literal moss growing on the indoor pool deck. Otherwise we loved the easy access to the beach, staff were really friendly. It was quiet and serene but we went in late September and didn’t realize almost everything was already closed for the season. The hotel had like 3-4 bars/restaurants but they were almost all closed for the season or severely limited hours. Our hotel room was fairly clean but the bathroom wasn’t great - the shower was stained and not clean and there was about an inch of dust on the screen in the bathroom window. Also no fans in the bathroom which wasn’t ideal since humidity was at 92%. Overall the staff was very kind and helpful when we needed anything. Parking was right next to our room. Beautiful views and aesthetics but the cleanliness and state of the public areas left something to be desired. Would go to South Yarmouth again but probably would try a different hotel. It’s just a short drive into the main streets with restaurants and shops but again most of them were closed this time of year. Loved the quiet and serene nature of the location of the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Riviera resort. On entering, we noticed that the room had been updated except they seem to stop at the bathtub. They should’ve finished the job. Our drain was clogged in the bathtub and it was very old. Other than that, we had a great time.

Honestly, every was great except for the air conditioning. It’s very old and didn’t work well. It was even that hot while we were there, average of 80 degrees. The thing never stopped running because it couldn’t get the room to 72 degrees.
