Beautiful, clean home. We were initially surprised that the host lived next door, but later learned this is required by Lake Tahoe vacation rental regulations. She stopped by once to share the Wi-Fi info, was very kind, and we had complete privacy for the rest of our stay.

Would not recommend!

My family and I have booked through VRBO multiple times in the past and we never had an issue with the rentals until we booked this place. These were the issues we experienced while staying at this property: The owner of the house walked into the kitchen as we were unpacking leaving us to question if she comes in whenever she feels like it. (She lives on site in a studio attached to the house). 2) This house is not walking distance to Heavenly Village or the lake (unless you plan to walk a minimum of 20-30 minutes). 3) We booked this house during the VRBO outage meaning we possibly didn’t get charged taxes on the house. I contacted the host at least a month prior to our stay to verify and she said we paid in full. However, on our second night staying, the host messaged me as we were at the house that we owed another $191 and that it was VRBOs fault, even though I had verified with her that we were paid in full. This along with the fact that she just walked in to the house while we were there, made us so uncomfortable that we left a day early from our trip. Thankfully, VRBO did not make us pay that since we had proof saying we were paid in full, but I would not recommend this place to anyone.

RENTER BEWARE!!! OWNER LIVES ON SITE!!!!

I recently stayed at this property with my two children. THE OWNER LIVES ON PROPERTY!!!! This is not disclosed in the posting and was completely unknown to me until I arrived and saw a car parked in the driveway. I was prepared to call the owner to alert her someone was parked in her driveway. I then entered the home and began looking for the rooms. Much to my alarm and surprise I tried to open a locked door which was then answered by THE OWNER!!! I was so confused and then at that point trapped with no where to stay and unable to cancel and be refunded. In addition to this she entered the home while we were gone, which was obvious as the window and door to the outside were left open. Our trip was completely tainted by the lack of privacy and invasion of our space. This is not an inexpensive stay. I tried to address this concern with VRBO and the owner to no resolution. Save some money and stay at a hotel where you are guaranteed to not have an unexpected roommate. The owner and VRBO should be ashamed of themselves. Awful!

Short Getaway in Tahoe

This was the first time for our family to come up to Tahoe in the summer and what a great weekend. The house is wonderful; awesome location within walking distance of the lake, but just far enough to be quiet and away from the hustle and noise so you really feel like your ‘in the woods’. Great outdoor space and deck for relaxing and enjoying your morning coffee or evening bbq. The home is clean and stylish - very warm with everything you need for a great getaway. Suzanne is a great communicator and easy to work with, making sure all our questions were answered and we felt welcomed. Lovely time - thank you!
