Everything was amazing, from arrival the staff asked if we were celebrating something special and because it was our Anniversary they upgraded our suite to a better one with a special courtesy arrangement. All day they have activities around the hotel and at night they create a great environment.

Property is lovely, excellent staff, large rooms with small hot tub, promptly cleaned rooms, rooms stocked with drinks (no snacks), includes room service however very limited selections and no dinners, nice pools, nice beaches. We went to a party at the riu tequilla and a man attacked my husband on the shuttle bus for no reason. He hit my husband in the face and continued to threaten us. He was obviously very drunk. They finally got him off the bus. Others were fearful and had their children witness this. We reported it at the riu palace and they did remove the man from the resort, although his family stayed. The next day my husband had a horrible black eye which ruined all our photographs for the remainer of our stay, invluding excursions. Management offered to upgrade our room but we were with a group and close together. They did not offer any other accommodations for this happening so it leaves a bad taste for safety here. The riu tequilla should have realized how intoxicated the man was and cut him off from drinking. I have most of the incident recorded on my phone, clearly shows him aggressively out of control. The man was removed, but we were constantly looking around for him especially when visiting other riu resorts there because he threatened to find and hurt us. This was our first stay at a riu and although we enjoyed the property, I don't know if we will stay at any riu again due to safety. We travel 3 to 4 times a year at all inclusive resorts.

Our stay was truly wonderful from start to finish. The resort is beautifully maintained, which puts you in vacation mode immediately. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a well-stocked minibar and a great balcony view. Housekeeping did a fantastic job every day. We loved the dining options with plenty of variety, fresh ingredients, and consistently good quality. The buffet had a wide selection, and the specialty restaurants offered a more elevated dining experience. The Japanese Restaurant was our favorite. Drinks were well-made and easy to get. We loved the Cappuccino Bar. The beach is beautiful and well maintained: soft white sand and clear turquoise water. There were always loungers available, and the staff kept the area clean and inviting. The pool area was lively, and we had the best time at the foam parties. Service throughout the resort was exceptional. Staff were friendly, attentive, and eager to help. Whether it was at check-in, the restaurants, or during activities, everyone went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. We had an amazing experience at Riu Palace Riviera Maya. We will definitely be back.

Loved our recent stay at RPRM. The staff are so incredible, they work so hard and really just want you to enjoy your vacation. Our room was clean, comfortable and offered lots of storage. They supply everything in the room including hair dryer, safe, iron, coffee and the beds are comfy. The food was also really good, probably the best food I have ever had at an all inclusive.

My fiancé and I had the best vacation at Riu Palace Riviera Maya! The hotel is beautiful, well kept, with incredible staff. They really provide everything you would need at an all inclusive, at any time of day! The breakfast buffet was delicious. And our favorite specialty restaurants were the Mexican restaurant and Steakhouse! We loved our stay and hope to come back again in the future.

The only thing that I disliked about the room was the lack of a barrier between living space and bathroom. No privacy. Even amongst family a bit of privacy is necessary especially in a bathroom. One of the dumbest designs I’ve ever seen in a room. This will keep me from booking here in the future.
