Beach was not great No shade at beach unless you paid for a sun bed… all inclusive should include that !! Food was very good… best steak we’ve had at an all inclusive All in all a nice resort if you want to be right in Playa.. only major complaint is having to pay for the day beds!

Room was spotless, thank you Maria. All staff were very kind and endearing and went out of their way to greet you. Coffee bar and restos great! The grounds were nice, although a bit small. There is no beach. The beach at Mamitas is a 5 minute walk but there is a lot of sulfer smell from rotting seaweed and the water is very churned up by the shore-no snorkeling. If you are looking for a clean, spectacular beach, this is not it. I would recommend a hotel in Playacar or Cancun. The only reason that I give this a 4/5 not a 5/5 is that my son, who was staying in Playacar, taxied over to have a tour of my resort. Security practically pounced on him and made him feel very unwelcome, even though he was with me and my other son who were clearly guests. After that we went to the front desk to explain that we were not looking for him to eat or drink, just to see the resort for a possible stay next year. We said we could be back in15 mins & would only show him grounds, ammenities and room. We also offered to wait and have a staff member show him around. They refused & offered to add him to the reservation for one night for an amount that was cost prohibitive. We declined. I chose this hotel as my home away from home for 2 weeks and, as a guest of the hotel, my guests are also their guests. Juan, the manager, was given a chance to respond several days later & chose not to. Due to this poor hospitality we will try another resort next time. They need to figure out a reasonable solution.

The room was wonderful, and the food was just okay. I don’t have much else to say about it. However, the entertainment was far below what anyone would reasonably expect. There were only two restrooms available for everyone by the pool, and the bar closed at 11 PM — which is surprising for an adults-only setting.

Definitely would return even if little no beach. Everything else was amazing. My room did face the road and only issue with that was the 30 tour buses that lined the street every morning and sat idling for 30+ minutes- but for small ocean view from balconies it’s either the street or the pool and pool area noisy all day and night. I loved the resort is at the end of the street and you can walk right to the beach and can walk along it where it is more beachy. I’m not sure if you’re allowed to sit on the beach that is in front of the other resorts. I never did. I just walked and no one told me I couldn’t be there.

The bedroom mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. The bedrooms were clean & had nice towels. The sand beach is not swimming-able. You have to walk left, cross the street from the resort to find a good swimming beach, once you arrive there you have NO beach chairs or beach services. (you are literally using other resort beach areas, you cannot sit in their chairs). If you walk longer than half mile you find “rental chair option = 55 dollars a day, including some over charged food & drinks (a bottle of water for 11 dollars). The good beach area is full of local people, some begging for money, like homeless people. Different cruises docked in the sea, and they send, by a big boat, tons of people to the “Pear” next to this resort. Right in front of our hotel tons of tourism buses and vans stay there waiting for the cruise people. Two out three a la carte resort restaurants access, are through the street, unsafe during the evenings. But these restaurants, the Mexican & Italian have delicious food & great services. The Positive Part is a laid back resort. Easy going vacation! The snack bar is open 24 hours. Coffee shop is open from early morning to late evening. They have great coffee and, Lidia, is incredible! Nice swimming pool service with amazing waiters. The Brasa, steak restaurant was hot and they turned off the ceiling fans. The Mexican restaurant had a nice outdoor “forest” breeze. The Italian restaurant “Bella” offered option with nice air conditioner or outdoor.
