I booked 2 rooms ocean view from Expedia, when I checked in they gave a very partial ocean view far away, you have to go out in your balcony and turn left then you see the ocean, I complained about it, then they asked us to come to the reception again, finally they gave us a room and we checked in the room at 6 pm, the bathroom sinks were clogged and shower automatically turns on and off with very mild warm water, we didn’t wanted to deal with them so we let it go. Room no 5413 I have pictures and videos too, not many vegetarian options and basic entertainment!

The room was covered in mold, on the mattress, painting, light shades, curtains, and walls. We complained, and they openly said that all the rooms are like that. I’ve been to several humid all inclusive spots, none of which had mold. The waits for drinks were insane, over 20 minutes at some times. Even with reservations, we still had to wait 20+ minutes to get into our restaurant. The pool was fantastic, very clean. And the activities were well put together, but that was the only good part.

Overall, we had a great stay at this all-inclusive resort. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful — every time we had a question or a small issue, it was resolved quickly and with a smile. The food was good overall. Some dishes were a bit different from what we’re used to, but the variety was solid. The à la carte restaurants were a highlight, especially the Italian one — great selection and quality. We honestly wish we had booked it more than once. The resort itself is very lively. At times it felt quite crowded, especially around the pool. Unfortunately, some guests leave towels early in the morning to “reserve” loungers despite the rules, which we didn’t love — but that’s more of a guest behavior issue, not the hotel’s fault. The pool water was a bit cold, and the sea wasn’t very clean during our stay, but again, this isn’t something the hotel can control. We stayed on the resort for the full 7 days without even leaving the property — there was enough to do. Some of the shows were really enjoyable, others were just okay. The bar was good, drinks were decent, and overall the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. In general, a very positive experience. We felt comfortable, well taken care of, and truly relaxed.

The Staff at Blue Bay were excellent and polite, other than the greeter that was too pushy on signing us up for timeshare even though I told him I did not want to go, he did any way. In our room the AC was not working, was very noisy, hard to sleep. The shower drain was plugged, the bathroom faucet was very difficult to operate and the room was generally worn. I spoke to the concierge and maintenance repair the drain and the faucet and told us that they did the AC, but it was still not working after they told us it was repaired. The food was good, but not great. The lineups to get into the buffet we’re trying. Our booked seafood restaurant dinner was pillaged by raccoons that the staff had to constantly fight off. Overall, the whole resort needed a lot of maintenance and appeared to be disheveled. For example, All the thatched roofs were visually worn and had holes in them and leaked. The entertainment was fairly good, but considering we were there after Christmas and for New Year’s, I wonder how the entertainment would be at a different time of year? I will not be booking another trip at Blue Bay.

Problem upon check-in. Person doing the check in gave us a room which was reserved for a different person. Very lucky person which the room was meant to did not arrive that night. We had to have it sorted out the following day which took quite some time. Requested a room which king bed instead of the twin beds in our room, 2 days later we were told to bring our luggage’s to the bell boy and they let us know later in the day which room we will receive, so we declined and decided to stay in the room we were given originally. Rooms are extremely dated and old. Entire resort needs a massive update

The staff was very hospitable. The public facilities were neglected as well as the rooms. The restrooms near the pool weren't working. The sliding glass door from the balcony was missing a handle to come in. The handle for the shower faucet fell off. They came and fixed it quickly. We had to ask for hand towels a few times because they didn't leave us any after they cleaned the room. They brought them quickly.

When we arrived at the resort and checked in at the lobby, the staff gave us zero explanation on how anything works, they didn’t give us room keys or tell us what our room number even was. We had to ask for that info. We requested a king size bed with an ocean view with our reservation. Upon arrival, our bed had two beds that were just larger than twins, not even doubles. The toilet was broken, the faucets in the bathroom were broken, the mirrors were covered with a black film. The closet doors were broken and hanging off. When we spoke to the front desk they said they had no other king rooms until one of the guests in our party who is ‘circle one’ (vip) complained about our room, and then all of a sudden they had two rooms with king beds that we could view and chose from. The buffets were mediocre at best. The a la carte restaurants were inconsistent. Concierge would only allow you to book into the a la Carte’s one day in advance, and most of the time there was no reservations left. The hotel handed out towel cards that you had to hand over to get towels for the pool, if you lost your towels, you didn’t get your towel cards back and were charged $60 USD to get new towel cards. However, staff would often walk around the pool and collect towels so that guests would have to pay for new towel cards. There were cotes and raccoons running all over the resort, including inside the restaurants and up on tables! I would not recommend this resort to anyone!!

Super underrated, we booked this trip before looking at the reviews...so we didn't really have an option but just to thug it out and see how it goes. Bam, best trip ever. Food was great, staff beyond nice and soo much to do. Beach was as clear as day and much bluer than the beaches beside our resort.

To start we have stayed at the Grand Pricess last year and the Riu the year before so i a reference of how resort shoud be and what to expect. I was very disappointed with my experience with my family of 4 . We had no hot water for our entire stay luke warm no water flow to be told by managers that how it is or we are working on it what joke. My son and daughter got there rooms switch 3 time because we founded bed bug we took a picture and saved the bug to show the management they did not believe us till we showed them. I got switched twice cause the water issue which was not resolved The food at best was poor and very limited selection ,also if you are vegetarian plan on eating boiled vegetables cause that would be about it. There Circle One VIP program is a con job stay far far away bait and switch. Over promise and under delivery disappointed my brother in-law realize and losted $1000.00 US to cancel cause of some fine print .Program is like a time share trickery. Entertainment was a karaoke machine that' it in a run down lounge with the only 3 bars and one is the VIP Circle One bar which closes early. You want to sit on a lounger forget it at best they had about 75 and half for the Circle One members witch also applies to the beach huts and beach itself. Restaurants and one main place and it was small and plumbing in those places where awfully three times the women' bathroom was backed up, the specialty restaurant the managers decide which ones are open or closed
