Quietest motel we've ever stayed in. Truly relaxing. The weekend brunch was terrific, but the weekday continental breakfast could use some work. It was just not up to par for such a great motel and restaurant.

Hotel is a bit tired. Room was so crowded with furniture that it was difficult to move around. Porch door is glass without blackout shade so the outside night lighting flooded the whole room all night. Internet was out the whole time we were there so no tv or wifi. Front desk was unwilling to make any adjustments at check out.

We’ve been traveling for close to a month and this by far is the nicest hotel we’ve stayed in. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the marina. The room was larger than most with a fireplace and great view of the marina. The bathroom was very large. This room had a large king size bed which was very comfortable. The property had a very nice restaurant. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is in a beautiful location in walking distance to the main part of town and across from a large public park with a wonderful walking trail. Events for a wedding were being held on the property which made parking for hotel guests very limited.

A great getaway

It was fantastic. There is construction right in front of the hotel. The bridge is being redone so it is not very quiet on the balconies during the day, but the inside the room was quiet. The service was great. The view was amazing. The whole property was very clean. The hotel is easily within walking distance of the town.

1st trip to Smithfield Virginia

Layed back stay is not ocean front so do jot expect the sandy beaches but this was a wonderful stay to relax, slow down and enjoy life. All of the staff were super nice and accommodating to us. The rooms were very clean and spacious verses a normal hotel room.
