Edelweiss Cottage at Mas de la Brousse – Nature, Comfort and Charm in the Heart of the Cévennes

Set amid greenery in Saumane, in the UNESCO-listed Cévennes National Park, the self-contained Edelweiss cottage at Mas de la Brousse offers a restful stay with mountain views. Renovated in 2025, this 60 m² cottage sleeps up to 5, blending modern comfort with natural charm. The Protea cottage for 2 is also available at Mas de la Brousse.



Inside are a cosy living room, equipped kitchen, two bright bedrooms, a bathroom and separate toilet. Amenities include heating and air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi suitable for video calls, a TV, washing machine, books and children's toys. A cot and high chair are available on request.



Outside, enjoy a large private garden with a terrace, electric barbecue, play area and stream with a private natural pool, ideal for cooling off in summer or daydreaming by the water. An above-ground pool (3 m x 5 m) is also available.



An ideal base for exploring the Cévennes, Saumane offers access to hiking trails, spectacular caves (Trabuc, Aven Armand) and villages such as Saint-Jean-du-Gard and Anduze, famed for its pottery and little steam train. Local markets, river swimming and outdoor activities complete the experience.



Edelweiss cottage is on the upper part of the property, so stairs must be climbed to reach it.



On-site parking, pets welcome, electricity partly supplied by solar panels and waste-sorting instructions support an eco-friendly stay. Your host speaks French, English and German.

Prima huis op mooie locatie.

Pros: Er ontbrak niets in het huis met fijn eigen terras/tuin met goed meubilair. Zeer vriendelijke gastheer. Cons: Huis alleen te bereiken via 2 trappen.

Le Mas de la Brousse est un lieu exceptionnel!

Pros: Le gîte est très agréable à vivre, tout particulièrement le jardin privatif avec les magnifiques arbres qui donnent un ombre très, très appréciable! Les cours d'eau étaient juste paradisiaques!
