I have stayed at the Sandman several times when travelling to Saskatoon. It is usually my first choice, but after my last stay, I am questioning if I want to return. The first hotel room we checked into was clearly not cleaned. Our first sign of this was a freezer meal left in the fridge. After further inspection, there was hair on the wall in the bathroom, on the floor, in the tub, there was only one face cloth, the mirror was dirty and had hand prints on it, and the toilet tank cover was dusty. In addition, there was a crumb on the bed I initially thought was a bed bug, and an alcohol can against the side of the bed. We switched rooms, which was better, but there was hair in the tub, the mirror was dirty, and there was a sticky substance like pop that was spilt down the front of the fridge. I was told they couldn't refund my stay because I had prepaid. In addition, the hot tub was closed - but compared to everything else, that was a minor issue we didn't really care about. I am extremely disappointed in this experience. The front desk tried to compensate with free vouchers to Denny's and the Shark Club, but that is hardly compensation.

Our room stink, the pool was broken even though we paid extra to get a hotel with a functioning pool. Our mirror was covered in handprints, the room stunk, our neighbours were noisy all night. We will be looking elsewhere next time.

Good bed. Shower did not work. It came off in my hand and then when I got it back on it just had cold water. Freezing water. After 15 mins trying gave up sponge bathed. Not idea. Property seems fine but a bit tired carpet etc. bed was clean and sheets good,

I booked an accessible room because my husband is paralyzed and has only leg however the room had two queens and cannot even get to the bed as they were too close together. He could not get into the tub as it waa a regular tub not a roll in shower and could not get under the sink with his wheelchair. The pool was also closed but we were not told this upon arrival. Many other little things but these were the 2 main items
