5 stars for the staff and their helpfulness, the comfortable beds, the cleanliness of the room, and its very effective blackout curtain. We appreciated the bedding being fragrance-free, too. The complimentary breakfast was solid with a good variety of options. The reasons I'm rating the stay only 3 stars: We had to block numerous small lights in the room just to be able to fall asleep. The worst offender was the smoke detector directly over the beds, flashing green every few seconds so brightly that I could see it through closed eyelids. The room's fridge was also loud enough that I would have unplugged it if I hadn't had earplugs along. If these kinds of things don't bother you, you'll probably sleep wonderfully, but for us it was a room of small torments that we had to spend time hunting down and obscuring. My partner wanted to use the pool for some morning exercise and found the water wasn't clean, with lots of hair floating around in it, and there was sand at the bottom of the hot tub somehow. The pool also has no adjacent washrooms or changing facilities, and isn't shaped well for exercise.
