My wife and I have been coming to the Inn for about 5 years. This was our first time back in over a year and we were a touch disappointed. We realize that these are hard economic times and appreciate the hotel industry needing to adjust issues to provide a cost-effective way to give their clients the very best. However, a couple things stood out on this trip. One thing was the shower and its lack of water pressure. Also, we made a reservation for Saturday evening asking for a table by the window in the bar. The receptionist confirmed that the reservation was completed. When we got to the bar our names were not there. Another issue was the room itself. We were placed in room 226 which was very pleasant except for when the compressor came on. On our first night there was no noise. On the second night of our stay the compressor had an unbearable vibrating noise. I went downstairs to ask what could be done. I have to thank Jacob for finding another room at 3 in the morning. He was very apologetic and concerned for us. I can't understand why these compressors can't be shut off at night! When we moved to 332, we were quite happy and got a few hours' sleep before we were to get up. Shower pressure was good and the only thing we could say is the hairdryer for my wife was not working. I don't want to sound too critical, but we look to have a good stay and not have to deal with these problems. We will come back but we will be more creful when we accept a room.

This place has ambiance, like old Victorian style. There's really cool furniture and stuff, each room is different. The place is close to everything. CVS up the block, great food all over the place etc The only kind of negative for me were the heat and AC situation. There was no ventilation in the room. When it's hot u have noisy window AC then when it was cold there was no heat available (it's October maybe they turn it on on November??). The room cleaning wasn't great like towels not replaced, garbage not removed.. Seemed like they just made the bed and left... So not terrible but compared to other hotels not great. It depends what is important to someone.If Scenery and location are most important to u it's spot on... If modern conveniences like central air important it's just average.... Staff was excellent except they refused to give me a late check out bc I asked the same day so ask way in advance if u know u need a late check out. I was very upset like almost crying bc I didn't want to sit there w all my stuff and wanted to enjoy the last 2 hours of my trip and they would not give in.
